Good News Across Jamaica is a United Effort

Thank you for praying for Good News Across Jamaica. God answered your prayers in amazing ways. He brought together a wonderful team of people from 6 countries including Canada, Belize, Guyana, Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada and 6 different states. What a blessing to see the way God used each one for His glory in a united effort to reach the children in Jamaica! Words are inadequate to describe what God did! He did above and beyond what we asked or even dreamed! Our original target for th...

Wonder Devotionals Eagerly Accepted

Wonder Devotionals Eagerly Accepted It was a great blessing to be able to hand out Wonder Devotional books to the children in the schools in Jamaica. Every day we took several boxes of them with us to hand out to the children. The children were told the importance of spending time with God and that the devotional book would help them do that. It was also used to encourage them to attend Good News Club when it started in their school so that they could get the next book. They were eager to recei...

Bermuda Raises Flag

The weekly flag raising at International Headquarters is always a blessing, but when someone raises their own flag from their country it signifies that ministry is happening. It was a privilege to have Melvyn Basset, chairman of the national board in Bermuda, raise his country’s flag during Spiritual Renewal week. Bermuda opened for ministry in 2014 and has seven Good News Clubs® with several more planning to begin in the New Year. The board’s goal is to be in all 17 schools and they are act...

Dominica Appoints a New Leader

God burdened Jewel Hector’s heart to become more actively involved in CEF ministry one step at a time. Eight years ago she began by taking TCE™ training, teaching a Good News Club® and serving on the national board. As the board prayed for a leader God impressed upon her heart that He was calling her. Although she felt inadequate she told the Lord she was willing to follow wherever He was leading. Jewel spent June, July, and August interning in Iowa and Nebraska in order to gain as much m...

God’s Plans are Unique

God’s Plans are Unique God moves in unexpected and unique ways at times! Jewel Hector was quite secure in her job, church, and family and was comfortable teaching Good News Club® and serving on the national board of Dominica. But God had even greater plans for Jewel! Little by little and in various ways God began speaking to her heart. She was privileged to attend International Conference where God began to give her a greater vision of CEF® and a sister in Christ suggested God had more in her f...

Vogels Join the Regional Team

Bill and Beth Vogel have a burden and a passion to reach children in the schools. The word, “impossible” does not seem to be a word in their vocabulary! God has used them in amazing ways to challenge principals and Pastors to get on board and help children hear the Gospel message. They have served with CEF of Maryland for the past four years and have seen the ministry increase greatly. They moved to Arizona in June and already have two clubs started with the possibility of several more. This ...

March Connection

Changes Seen In Cayman Children God is at work in the hearts of boys and girls in Grand Cayman! An after-school Good News Club® meets at the Savannah United Church and is taught by Diane Montoya. An average of 25 children attend who love to “sing” the memory verses and interact as they listen to the Bible lesson. Another club meets before school at 7 AM and has more than 80 children. The principal sees the difference in the children and would like the team to come teach every morning. He says t...

Millers have a new assignment

Sean and Mandi Miller and their two daughters have been serving in the Caribbean since 2012. They have helped develop the ministry in St Kitts and Nevis and most recently in Turks and Caicos and have done a great job. The ministry in the Caribbean has been growing rapidly. Now that all the countries have been opened, establishing solid ministries in each one as well as strengthening existing ministries is a huge task. We have asked Sean and Mandi, and are very excited that God has led them, to e...

The Door of Opportunity

How refreshing would it be go walk into a public school and ask to share the Gospel with the children and the principal says, "Sure, can you teach now?"  This is a possibility in the Caribbean. In the Bahamas, we were able to share a Bible lesson in the school assembly. The Principal strongly encouraged us to give an invitation and to ask the children for a response! In Belize, even non-believing teachers begged us to come and share with the children. Little fingers poked through the school ...
