In August 2006, Bev and Janet were asked to join the regional staff of the North America/Caribbean Region as education coordinators of the Caribbean. They moved to Florida to be more accessible as we make frequent trips throughout the year to oversee the teacher training programs in the Caribbean. Their passion is training and seeing the ministry multiplying through training others to teach children and training some to become instructors of teachers. As the Educational Coordinators for the North America/ Caribbean Regionthey travel to the Caribbean countries to conduct teacher training as well as Instructor of Teacher courses and oversee the planning and directing of the CMI in theCaribbean. They also enjoy working with CEF's national workers in whatever way needed to encourage them and equip them in their training ministry.
Beverly's first introduction to CEF was during her third year of Bible College when she became a summer missionary. This was a life changing experience and God used it to deepen her burden for the lost and most importantly children. It was during her fourth year of college that she felt God’s call on her life to serve Him full time with CEF, thus beginning her ministry journey. In 1978 Bev began ministering with CEF in Vancouver, B.C. as City Director. In 1982 she moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba where she became the CEF Education Director for the province of Manitoba. In 2001 she joined the Canadian national staff as the Canadian Children’s Ministries Institute Director. It was during these years that she and Janet began working together in the CMI in Canada.
Janet (pictured above) had the joy of being an elementary school teacher and during her summer vacation time, she began to volunteer with CEF as a camp counselor and summer missionary. Each summer her involvement grew until she was teaching Good News Clubs® and involved in teaching at regular teacher training classes during the school year. The Lord led her to begin to serve with CEF full time in 1986. She began ministering with CEF as a local director in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and served there for 12 years until the Lord called her to Warrenton, Missouri, where she helped develop the ministry in the area of the CEF World Headquarters. The opportunity became available for Janet to teach a few weeks at the Canadian Children’s Ministries Institute. The next year the Lord expanded her ministry as she became the education director of the Canadian CMI.
